Playwork Education and Training Council (England)

 

AIM: To provide a forum for the playwork sector to discuss issues of strategic importance on all aspects of Playwork education, training and qualifications in England. 

FUNCTIONS:

  1.  To agree and recommend broad strategic actions for the development of Playwork Education, Training and Qualifications in England

  2. To provide advice and guidance on issues related to Playwork education, training and qualifications in England.

  3.  To share information with other national Playwork Education and Training Councils

  4.  To receive reports and make recommendations on the development of National Occupational Standards (NOS) and associated qualifications for Playwork

  5.  To receive reports and make recommendation on the development and take up of playwork training and qualifications to relevant Awarding Organisations, National Agencies & Government.

  6.  To oversee the setting up and reviewing of appropriate Project Task Groups and receive reports as appropriate.

  7.  To take responsibility for disseminating information, advice and guidance on Playwork education, training and qualifications to the stakeholder group for whom membership was conferred.

  8.  To review and agree the Terms of Reference of PETC England regularly

  9.  To approve Playwork qualifications and training & education courses
