Play England campaigns for all children and young people to have freedom and space to play throughout childhood. We work with national partners, corporates and other organisations with shared aims to raise awareness about the importance of play. We lobby government to make fundamental policy changes to protect and promote play, and encourage everyone who has an impact on the lives of children and young people to recognise and plan for children’s play.
Play England, Play Wales, Play Scotland and PlayBoard Northern Ireland coordinate Playday, the play sector’s flagship campaign.
Our Love Outdoor Play campaign aims to galvanise everyone to take action to make sure that more children can play out more often.
Play England is a founding member of the Wild Network – a unique and pioneering collaboration between organisations to reverse the trend of children losing touch with the natural world and playing outdoors.
In response to demand, Play England launched Save Children’s Play – a resource that communities can use to establish their own local campaigns for children’s play and be part of a national movement at the same time.
