Engaging Communities in Play resources

As part of the Engaging Communities in Play programme, Play England has produced a range of resources to help organisations working at a grass-roots level. The overal aim is to improve play opportunities for children and young people.

Briefing papers

Play England has produced a series of briefing papers cover a range of subjects of special interest to community groups and individuals working to improve children's play opportunities at a local level, including:

- Using quality assurance for funding success

- Creating successful play partnerships

- The role of 'friends of' groups in improving play opportunities in green spaces

- Adventure playgrounds as community hubs

- Volunteering in play

- Managing play provision in the community and voluntary sector

- Parish councils and children's play

- Using social media to promote children's play
