The Communities and Local Government Department is consulting on the proposed changes to the Neighbourhood Planning Regulations and Community Infrastructure Levy.
These propose new powers for parish councils and neighbourhood forums, and changes to the charges local authorities choose to levy on new developments to provide infrastructure, including play spaces for children.
The draft proposals and response forms for the Neighbourhood Planning Regulations and for the consultation on the Community Infrastructure Levy are available on the Communities and Local Government website.
Play England is interested in your views on the likely impact of these proposed changes to the development of local play provision. We would appreciate it if you could send your responses or any comments to email@example.com by Thursday 15 December 2011. If you would like to discuss any of the above, please contact Steven Chown on 020 7843 6300.
We recently responded to the consultation on the National Planning Policy Framework.
