Charter for Children's Play

Play England in partnership with London Parks and Green Spaces Forum (LP&GSF) facilitate a working group for local authority play leads, parks managers and anyone else tasked with maintaining play spaces.

In recognition of the impact on the public sector of budget restrictions, the group aims to pool knowledge about maintenance issues and establish principles of good practice.

The Play Maintenance Forum will help:

- Local authority officers to share experience
- Protect the legacy of the playbuilder and play pathfinder programme
- Share information about potential funding opportunities
- Ensure new and recently refurbished play spaces are maintained at a high quality
- Share support and guidance from LP&GSF, Play England and London Play.

The theme for the next meeting will be Consulting effectively with children

Help us spread the word about the value of play
