The next meeting of the Play England council is a critical one and we want to encourage as many members and potential members - as possible to attend.
The Strategic Advisory Board, elected by the Council to advise Play England staff on strategic issues, recently voted unanimously to recommend to members that we start the process of creating an independent Play England. We have begun a dialogue with NCB about this but need the endorsement of the full membership if we are to proceed.
This is a new era for Play England: new team, new projects, new policy environment, new funding expectations and new campaigns. The meeting will focus on the present and future focus of Play England and we will be asking all members to contribute in this time of change, through which we hold tight to our vision for all children to have the freedom and space to play throughout childhood, and our mission to champion this right to all those who shape children's lives.
If you want to help shape the future of play provision for children in England please attend.
To book your place, contact Lyndsey McCullagh on lmccullagh@ncb.org.uk or 0207 843 6300.
