A free Play England seminar supported by the Department for Education

This free event will examine how adventure playgrounds can get through tough times ahead by taking advantage of the localism agenda and the focus on communities taking more control.
Keynote speakers and workshops will explore:
- Building community support in the new era - learning from the Engaging Communities in Play programme
- The 'edible playground' - growing out into the community
- Practical experience of developing a community land trust and building 'friends of' groups for local authority-run adventure playgrounds
- Sustaining play pathfinder adventure playgrounds and minimising the impact of cuts
- Using Quality in Play to win friends and funding - success stories
Who should attend?
Adventure playground staff and management; local authority service planners and commissioners looking at new models of community ownership; play associations and other play support organisations.
Travel subsidy
We will pay £50 toward travel costs for a limited number of delegates in England more than two hours by rail from London. This will be on a first come, first served basis, so book early to take advantage.
