Play is an essential part of every child's life and vital to their development. Playing in active ways makes a positive contribution to children's physical, emotional, intellectual mental health and well-being.
This one day training fully supports the Early Years Foundation Stage and will explore:
- The importance of play for children's health
and well-being
- The detrimental effects of play deprivation
- Evaluation and measurement techniques
for active play
- Effective communication and observation
skills
- Barriers and solutions for developing active
play within a setting
- How to use scrap and recycled materials as
active play resources
