Community Play

Play England’s Community Play programme supports community engagement to promote play in local areas, including highlighting the role of the voluntary and community (third) sector.

The Community Play Programme promotes grass roots involvement in making play-friendly communities. As well as holding seminars around the country, it has updated the former Neighbourhood Play Toolkit and published it as a free, online resource at www.playfulcommunities.org.uk.

The Community Play Programme is part of Play England’s work as the government delivery partner for The Play Strategy, contracted by the Department for Children, Schools and Families.

Events

Play England is hosting a series of regional seminars for voluntary and community sector organisations which promote play, to support the delivery of local play strategies.
