Case studies

There are many and varied examples of play in practice around the country - this section highlights some of those, to share learning and ideas.

Play England is collecting examples of play provision, play processes and other play services. Case studies are published here; other types of examples will follow.

Play provision

Case studies of play provision are organised into categories; some examples fit a number of categories.

Other services

Play strategies

The Children's Play Information Service hosts a collection of all the published play strategies from around the country. We are currently analysing these for examples which demonstrate different methods of strategic development.

Play associations

The Children's Play Information Service also has a list of the play associations around the country. We are currently analysing these for examples of different models of infrastructure development.
