East Midlands play forum

17 October  2007, Nottingham

The second East Midlands play forum meeting was held on 17 October 2007 in Nottingham. The group discussed terms of reference, membership and the role of the forum. There was a debate on whether the group should be formal or informal and whether it should be open to all or have a fixed membership.

The majority view was that to be an effective voice for the sector the group needs to be formal, with a communications strategy, specific goals and a limited core membership. A manageable number of members is necessary if decisions are to be made effectively. However, new members may be accepted in the future to better represent the sector.

The next meeting is planned for Wednesday 16 January 2008. If you would like more information on the East Midlands Play Forum please contact us.
