Play for a change

A briefing that illustrates substantial and wide-ranging evidence of the importance of play in the lives of children.

This briefing gives a summary of the key findings from the full research report Play for a Change, a review of perspectives on play, policy and practice carried out for Play England by Stuart Lester and Wendy Russell of the University of Gloucestershire.

The review compliments and updates the review undertaken for the former Children's Play Council in 2001.
